Bhojpur.Preparations for Kharif crop have been started by the Agriculture Department in Bhojpur district. This year the department has laid emphasis on the cultivation of coarse grains. For this, a target of 350 quintals of seeds has been set in the district. You can apply online for coarse grain seeds. The department’s portal has been opened for this. The department has set the last date for farmers to apply till June 10.

This year, after many years, green sheets (high) will be visible in the fields in Bhojpur district. For this the district has got allotment of 516 quintals of seeds. Among coarse grains, jowar, mahua, china, arhar and millet will be cultivated.

State Seed Corporation will distribute seeds
Bihar State Seed Corporation, Patna will distribute the seeds received for Bhojpur district. Seed allotment will be done this month. Also its distribution will be started. For this, Rahul Singh, Director of M/s Dhan Lakshmi has been selected by the Agriculture Department as the wholesaler of the district. On their behalf, seeds will be given to the retailers selected for the blocks. The distribution of seeds will start from this month and will continue till the last date of 15th June.

Grant amount will go to farmers’ account
The subsidy amount received on coarse grains including paddy will be sent to the bank accounts of the farmers. Farmers will have to submit the photocopy of the bank account along with the Aadhar card to the Agriculture Department. Seeds will be distributed to farmers on subsidy under various schemes of the Central and State Government.

Krishi Vigyan Kendra has set the target for sowing of coarse grains. According to this
Jowar-16 hundred acres, Madua-31 hundred acres, Pigeon pea + Jowar interlocking cultivation-75 acres, Cheena-16 hundred acres

Target of distribution of 350 quintal seeds
Bhojpur District Agricultural Scientist PK Dwivedi said that for the first time in the district, the target is to distribute 350 quintals of seeds for the cultivation of coarse grains. Agriculture department is distributing seeds. Under the Climate Change Scheme, Krishi Vigyan Kendra is cultivating Shree An (coarse grain) in 75 acres. More than a dozen villages have been adopted in this. Coarse grains are being cultivated in a modern way by providing seeds and all facilities directly to the farmers. In the coming times, there will be coarse grains in every plate. Besides this, the business of farmers will also increase.
